Resolved:removing Border Of Group Box

Hi Forum,

Need help to generate Series of Items in different Permuation & Combinations..

For Ex:- If there are three Items.. A B C and forming a group of 2
then the the total no of combinations would be permut(3,1) = 6...

I need this to be shown as follows depending on the no of itmes and no of group no=2 in this case...

Permuations & Combinations are as follows:

Hi,

I am looking to change how an active cell is viewed. For instance when you are looking at your spreadsheet you can see the active cell has a thin black border around it. I would like to change the border to a thicker one and change the color to blue or red. I am trying to make it easier to the eye so when you are working on a large spreadsheet it is immediatly apparent where you are to avoid squinting.

If anyone can help me please let me know.

I'm unable to group/ungroup rows or columns on an excel worksheet that was
emailed to me by a co-worker. It's an existing file so I don't know what
restrictions were placed on the workbook. What can I do to fix this problem?

How do you turn off the blinking border around a cell that you are copying while still having it as an active cell? I don't want to have to press "esc" after everytime I copy an item.

I have a column with a set of duplicate values. I need to remove the duplicates while leaving the original data and keeping the blanks. The Remove Duplicates function comprises the data and this does not work for me. Help!

I need to lock consecutive rows together before sorting. e.g. A1 contains a name and A2 is blank: B1 contains data related to name in A1 - so does B2, and so on. Therefore need to lock rows 1 and 2 together, then 3 and 4 together and so on, but sorting on the data in the first cell of the group e.g. A1

I'm looking for help in building a formula which will sort numbers into different "buckets". My spreadsheet has a range of values in column B. These values can range anywhere from -100,000,000 to +10,000,000. I'd like to be able to sort them into the following buckets:-

I made a budget with many narrow columns and have turned the data into a table. I will only ever filter the data with the left-hand most column. However, all the other columns are filled each with the grey drop-down filter arrow button, and I can no longer see the headings of these columns and frankly seeing 50 little unused arrow buttons is rather ugly. Is there any way to simply remove the filter drop-down buttons on some columns or even all of them, just leaving a filter button at the heading of the first column? I know I can hide the headings, but then I lose sight of the first filter arrow that I use.

Sorry to ask such a bizarre question, but I appreciate your help.

Is there a trick to copy-paste a group of cells into Outlook? I don't want to paste as a picture (shows up as an attachment and is lost when someone else Replies), but formatting is skewed when pasted as an Excel object. Right now I'm recreating the table in Word, then pasting, which doesn't loose formatting.

A specific problem is cells which don't have borders show up with very light grey borders in Outlook. This, I do not want.

I have a graph with various information in it. One is a line graph that tracks hours used in that department per month. The problem is that when it gets to the last month, and there is not yet data for future months, the line goes down to Zero (leavin this big diagonal line that makes the data look funny). I need this line to stop on the last month there is data for. (I do not manually enter the data, it is a formula that I do not wish to delete.) I know I can manually move the data that the line is pulling to make it stop on the last month, but I have a graph for 36 different departments and that's a pain to have to manually adjust 36 graphs each month. Is there a way to tell the line to stop if there is no data? Thanks!!

All on a sudden my mouse pointer in excel is not working properly. I cannot use my mouse to drag and fill, or to adjust the page break lines in the Page Break View mode. It always is in the shape of the white cross with black border and never changes it shape when pointed at the lower right edge of cells too. Now.......what to do in order to get out of this problem.

I'm having a problem in a workbook with several ActiveX command buttons. I had been using the form control buttons to run macros, but the boss wanted each button to have it's own, different color. So I removed the form control buttons and created new ActiveX command buttons. I got into the button properties and set the background colors. I added the _Click code to run the macros when the user clicked the buttons.

All of the buttons were working fine. Then I saved and closed the workbook and went to lunch. Now when I open the workbook, the buttons don't work! When I click them nothing happens. They appear frozen. They don't even seem to click. No error message. Nothing.

If I right-click the button in Design Mode and select Properties, I get sheet properties not the button properties. I can't seem to locate the command button properties any longer. I still see the button name "cmdButtonGetInfo" and "=EMBED("Forms.CommandButton.1","") in the name box and formula bar. The odd thing is if I create a new button it works fine until I save and close the file. When I reopen the file none of the buttons work.

It's like the buttons are being disabled when I close or open the file. Any suggestions?

Hi. I have a row in a spreadsheet in Excel that is hidden but i am unable to unhide it. I have tried the usual way by hovering between the rows above and below until i get the double line but this does not happen. I have also tried going through the Format - Row - Unhide option but this also doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to come up with a solution to calculate the man hours and days worked over multiple sheets.

I have a file that has 8 sheets. the first seven sheets are the days of the week and the 8th sheet is where I want to calculate the hours.

The days of the week consists of "Name" "Date" Hours"

The 8th sheet consists of "Name", "Days of the week in their own column (7 columns in total)", "Total Hours" and "Total Days Worked"

Now... each day is always a different group and what I'm hoping for is to create a formula that can grab each name with their hours and throw them into the 8th sheet. So when the end of the week is done I have all the Employees weekly hours and days worked all finished.

I hope this makes sense. This file is to track about 100 employees that are on a rotational work schedule.

I have been using "substitute" but this requires me to know which character I want to remove and this isn't always known

I have tried looking at some macro solutions but became lost quite quickly
