I have an .xls spreadsheet that has a column which contains email links that appears like this: Email
When you click the cell or hover it shows the email address. I would like to convert the entire column to actually display the email address. I need to export these email adddresses once I get them. The only way I have found that I can get the email address is to create a new column, then click the Email link and it opens up an outlook email. Then I have to copy and paste the email address into the new column. I have over 2000 cells in this column. Is there any way to convert this column to the actual email addresses that are embedded in it? Any help would be appreaciated!

I can't find this solutions anywhere. I know how to send emails from Excel using VBA. When I get to the Body section, I want to insert a clickable link to a website, and also a clickable link to send an email (not as important as the website). Can this be done? I have found code to insert links to files, but none for website links.

I currently have an Excel 2003 doc with a column of email address.

The problem is that the email addresses are just plain text. I would like to be able to just click on an email address and have it open a blank email with the address I just clicked on as the recipient.

Is there a way I can select this column of email addresses that are plain text and change them into hyperlinks?

Thanks :-)

I have a list of email addresses which I analyze by provider. column a for example has the full address "" while column b only shows the provider "".
I need to double check if the address is valid or if it is incorrect / non-existent. Since I will never know that for sure unless i send an email, I was wondering if there is a way from excel to at least double check if the provider / address is valid?

Any ideas on how to tackle this problem? Advices are welcome

I have a list of email addresses in an Excel 2007 file. I need to copy and paste those addresses to send an email. The one email program I use, uses commas between each email address to send to more than one person.

The other email program places the email address below each other in individual BCC or TO lines.

I saved the file as .txt and copied. In the first email program using commas, it would only copy the first address.

In the second email program it would copy across and put in commas but all were red since that program needed each address to be on a separate line.

I have email addresses all seperated from D1:D1955. The email addresses all have a comma after the address. I need to be able to put all these addresses in one line so that I can send out a bulk email.

How can I get all of these in one cell?

In a spreadsheet that I'm working on the user makes several selections.

One of the selections is accompanied by an 'Info' Button. When pressed a userform appears with various information related to that chosen option.

2 of those bits of information are a url and an email address.

I've been able to use a userform label as a link for the url no problem. I can't find a way to use the email address though. Does anyone know how I can do that?

Dependant on the selections the user makes the info shown on the userform varies so the email address must be derived from a cells contents. For the link to the url I'm using;

Private Sub Label17_Click()
ActiveWorkbook.FollowHyperlink Address:=Sheets("AC DATA").Range("G4").Value
End Sub

Which is working well. The corresponding email address is stored in "AC DATA" cell L4.

I have a column in my excel spreadsheet with many email addresses in it. I would ideally like to be able to send out a mass email to every email address in that column.

Is there a way to create a link or something so all i have to do is click it and an outlook email will pop up with the entire column of email addresses already populated in the "To..." field?

If that isn't an option, is there a way to simply create a new cell at the very top of my document which will display every email address in the column (seperated by semi-colons ; ), so all i have to do is click on the cell and copy then paste in the "To..." field in outlook?

I have a spreadsheet with email addresses. Whenever I click in the cell, it inserted the email address into my lotus notes. All I wanted to do was to copy the email address. How do I format it so that it is not recording as email address? Changing the format to text doesn't help. Thanks!

I hope someone can help me! I am entering contact information in a spreadsheet. One column is for email addresses. Every email address has the same domain name. I am tired of typing "@blahblahblah" over and over, and I'd like to make an input mask for this column that will allow me to simply type the beginning of the address. This sheet will eventually have about 2000 rows, and this would save 15 keystrokes per row. ! Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help!

I have a macro that I copied from another workbook ( I don't know VBA) that allows me to email a workbook to a designated email address. I just keep copying and pasteing the macro, customizing it for every spreadsheet that I use it in.

What I would like to know, is there a way to change it so that the spreadsheet goes to more than one email address?

Here is my macro:

Sub TextBox1_Click()
MsgBox "For this [Insert File Name Here] to be processed you must select YES on the next Text Message Box that appears."
ActiveWorkbook.SendMail "[Insert Email Address Here]", "[Insert Subject of Email Here]"
ThisWorkbook.Close False
End Sub

Hi, I'm new to this site. It looks great. Sounds like you all have lots of experience.

I'm a primary school class representative and I want to create an excel contact list of the parents email addresses so that I can click a button, it will open the default email (in my case MS Outlook) and then populate the "To" email address field with the email addresses (separated by a comma).

Can anyone provide me the VB code that I can paste into my worksheet VBA that will look at a range of cells (say E2:E30) that contain email addresses, and put them in the "To" field of a blank email?

I have put a button on the page and it's called "EmailButton" but I don't know what VB to put with it. I'm using MSExcel 2007 (at home) and 2003 (at work)

Hi all
I have a excel document that need to send out on a daily basis.
I have a simple button with the following code that enables me to send active workbook to 1 email address.

arg2:="Daily Check Sheet " & Format(Date, "dd/mmm/yy")

How do I convert an entire column of text only email addresses

Any help greatly appreciated

I have a worksheet full of email addresses but every time i select one of these cells, an Outlook window pops up, somehow convinced I want to sent and email to that address.

Is there a way to disable this?

I have and excel sheet that was a contact list apparently exported wrong and has the names and addresses all together in each cell in about 350 rows in column A, they are all in this format

john doe email address here

for some reason the email address in brackets won't show up here but each email address is in brackets

I need to get the name in one column and the email address without the brackets into another, any ideas?

Hi all,

I have a list of clients, and next to each client there are 4 entries that store variousemail addresses that each of the clients may have.
Some of the email addresses however are duplicates. Like their personal email might be the same as their work email, or their partners email they have listed is the same as their personal main email....
Is there a quick way to filter out the duplicate emails by the row/client???

Example: (Spans across 5 columns)

John - - - -
Bob - - - -
Sarah - - - -

I would like to quickly (like button click if possible) be able to filter this list (keeping in mind there are 300 clients that i actually have to filter)

The result of the above should be:

John - - -
Bob - -
Sarah - -

I hope that makes sense ... and i hope it is possible to filter by the row.
I don't mind VBA if it is only possible via that...

Thank you for your time and help,
Kind regards,

In my Excel spreadsheet I have a column to store the email addresses of my clients. Every time I click on the text of an email address, it automatically opens Outlook with a new message composed to that address. How do I stop this from happening? I don't even use Outlook for my email and this is really frustrating. I've tried changing the format of the column to no avail.

Thank you; your help is most appreciated.
