Chart disappears when I copy tab or move to another workbook

Welcome to MrExcel.

This works fine for me, click between the 1 and A in the top left hand corner of your worksheet, right click Copy, go to your new Tab, click in A1, right click Paste.

I am having the same problem as strattergize reported.

I have been working with the same Excel file for 6+ months. Every week I copy an existing worksheet, change some data, and save a new version.

However this week, when I copy/paste, the data appears when I paste but none of the charts appear. I have tried copying the tab itself, and creating a new tab and manually pasting everything over. To no avail.

Suggestions???

Yeah, I did ... (sorry that's what I was trying to convey with "creating a new tab and manually pasting everything over").

Sigh.

I had a similar problem pasting a chart from one tab to another within the same worksheet. It disappeared, but is still there in print preview. I can not see the chart in any layout or delete it. When I use "Page break preview" a blank page shows.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the page, or the chart? It shows up when I print PDF's and I don't want it there.

Ctrl+6 is the keyboard shortcut to toggle the display of objects in the worksheet. Perhaps hitting that key combination a few times will bring the chart back?

Alt+F10 brings up the selection pane in Excel 2013 and 2016; that's identical to the ribbon command "Page Layout >> Selection Pane". On the Home tab, You can get to object selection from Find & Select. That might be of use to find the chart.

Have you tried inserting another chart? Try that and, with that new chart selected, press Ctrl+A. That should select all worksheet objects. From there you might be able to Tab through to the chart you want, if it is not hidden.
