control As IRibbonControl Unable to call

What is the point of adding the iRibbonControl argument as part of the macro. You don't use it and it doesn't seem necessary for the code you provided.

Also, when calling that macro from the other one, are you passing a valid control object (vs. a string value such as the name of an object)?

You need that kind of subroutine signature only when it is a procedure that is called when a ribbon button is clicked.
