How do I get wysiwyg when printing

When printing most worksheets I get what I see [and set up] in print preview.
Specifically the scaling that I have selected. However, when printing "Some"
worksheets the scaling is ignored. eg Print preview tells me 5 pages, the
printer produces 12 pages. How do I fix this problem?? [I am using Excel
    2003]

Your issue could be related to page breaks. check the blue lines in the Page Break Preview (in current versions of Office, the right of 3 icons in the bottom right near the zoom)

In my opinion though, the best thing I can find is to change from Normal view to Page Layout View (in current versions of Office, the middle of 3 icons in the bottom right near the zoom), and then adjust the Zoom to 100%.

This seems to give the closest to WYSIWYG before entering print preview. However, there still seems to be issues with image placement that I've noticed; but the cells and fonts seem to be on point if you adjust them in that view (Plus it includes any headers/footers and repeating cells)

If someone knows a better way, or a way to get the photos to display more accurately in Page Layout View, please feel free to correct my suggestions.

Other suggestions are to verify the "paper size" in your default printer, which printer is selected (possibly PDF plugin) and the related margin settings.
