I have the following command in VBA to export a query to a csv file

Code:
DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, "SimNetRegistrationRosterExportSpecification", "z_SimNetRegistrationRoster", _
    RegToolPath & RegToolPrefix & Format(Now(), "YYYY-MM-DD_HHnn") & ".csv", True
[code]

I need to append to the file that was created the in that last command the data created by the following z_SimNetOSSDRegistrationRoster query. How can I do this?

Thanks

Appending is not easy to do with TransferText (maybe not possible). Generally you need to use file I/O code to do that.

This article shows one way to write text files using the FileSystem Object.

Possible strategy:

Create the new file using TransferText
Use the FSO to append the new file to the main one

As they were variants of the same query. I just made a union query and exported those results.

Yep, that's the way to go in that situation. I was unclear whether both data sets were live, or you were appending one export to a pre-existing file.
