Macro button not visible

Hi - I have created a small macro and assigned it to a macro button that is placed on the Reviewing toolbar. When the button on the Reviewing toolbar is pressed, the macro is running fine and performing the job that I desire for.

When I shared the excel sheet with one of my friends, he could not see the newly created macro button whatsoever:confused: However, he could see the macro code in the VB editor.

May I please know why the other users are not able to view this newly created macro button, while it is very much visible to me? For your information, the workbook is not protected. No security is present.

Please help. I am an amateur in excel and the question also might look silly. But, a solution to this problem is much appreciable. Thanks.

Regards
Sai

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Sai,

The toolbar configuration is not associated with the workbook but with the configuration files for Excel for your user account on your computer. I haven't used Excel 2003 in a while so I don't recall precisely how to export a toolbar configuration but that probably not the best way to handle this. If you want to make the macro easily accessible to the people you share the workbook with you can add a form button to a sheet and associate the macro to it.

Hi Rob - Thanks much for your input. Yes, you are correct. The easiest way is to add button to the worksheet and assign the macro to it. One more excel expert like you suggested the same work around and it did work for me. thanks again.
