First off, I know nothing about Conditional Formatting...

Is it possible to have a cell either change color or change font color or go bold when a formula is true?

Example: A persons goal is 200. On jan 1 they only have 180, on jan 2 they have 250. I would like to have the 250 be represented that they are "over" goal. I would use the over/under wording but I still need to see the number in the box....

Thanks in advance, your past helps have been a godsend!

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
You could use the Formula option in Conditional Formatting. =A1>=200

You can substitute a cell reference for 200 if you have it.

Otherwise, can you post the formula you're using?

Select the cell and choose Format|Conditional Formatting from the menu. For Condition 1 choose Cell value is greater than 200, choose a format and click OK twice.

Andrew, when I select a cell there is no option for conditional formatting.

Smitty, If I choose A1 doesnt that make the whole sheet use that formula?

I am not using any formula now.

I have 6 columns across with each persons name in it.
I have the days of the month down the left side.

In the bottom cell, say B29 and across, I have the goal number for each person.

I thank you for your quick responses. I think I will just manually change the font color if the goal is over.

Have a great day!

You would select the range between the names and row 29, then in CF-->Formula--> =B2>=B$29
