I am trying to calculate the week number for a date in a month, i have a formula to calculate it from the start of a month but i need the count (ie week 1) to begin on the 18/01/2010 to the 14/03/2010 if this makes sense? Can anyone help?

It sounds like you kind of want the difference in the # of weeks? If so,
=INT((B1-A1)/7)
You can use this too by start date and end date of the month.

Can you give some examples, if the date is 18/1/2010 then that's week 1, presumably week 2 begins 7 days later, 25/1/2010? What week is 14/3/2009.....is that week 9? What happens for dates outside that period?
