I just got the new Office 2007 on a Vista computer. And earlier I used an English Excel version.
How can I get my now Norwegian version of Excel, to accept English formulas?

Well I find all these articles to talk about the language. So the text, dictionaries etc. I don't care about this..
I care about the Excel functions...... I want to write =VLOOKUP() rather than the norwegian equivelent =FINN.RAD()
i think if you change the default office language to english it will do the functions in excel as well

I've tried to change the language settings in Excel, and also the keyboard input language for Windows Vista as a whole. Non of them seems to change the function language.
I've also tried to restart Excel. However I've not tried to restart Windows... but I see no reason why I should need to do that.
changing just the language settings will not do it. you need to change the default input
if the default input language for the Windows operating system is set to English, the default language for all Microsoft Office programs is English. This is true even if you set the display and editing language in Microsoft Office 2007 to another language, such as French or Spanish
