    Calulating Average Fleet Age

    What is a simply, accurate formula to calculate average fleet age when the fleet contains vehicles of different ages and different quantities of vehicles within each age group and fleet group.

    Try this formula in B11 copied across

    =SUMPRODUCT(B1-$A3:$A9,B3:B9)/SUM(B3:B9)
