    Copy & Paste cell size problem.

    Hi all,

    I'm trying to copy large amounts of data yet excel keeps posting the error message,

    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    Is there anything I can get around this.... there are merged cells within the workbook.

    If you are copying merged cells, I'm pretty sure you need to ensure the range where you are pasting is either identically merged, or you need to unmerge the cells (where you will be pasting) before pasting.

    Always try and avoid merge cells whenever possible. Sometimes is better to take longer in designing the layout of the spreadsheet as can avoid issue like this.

    If possible I would use centre across selection instead

    Yes merged cells are not at all a great idea.
