This is weird. The Merge functionality is not working, the Button is grayed down.

The sheet/workbook are not protected, nor shared, there is no VBA code in the file...

Does anyone knows what else can it be? Everything else is working fine!!!

thanks

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Merged cells are a bad idea anyway. Have you tried Format > Cells > Alignment tab > Center across selection?

@VoG,

Would you mind elaborating a bit on the benefits of Center Across Selection vs. merging cells?

Thanks!
