Excel PAY AS YOU EARN (PAYE) FORTNIGHT TAX CALCULATOR

Hi i manage to design a payroll spreadsheet for my company of +- 60 employees. The spredsheet works fine,The only thing is when i deduct tax i have to do it manually everything else is automatic. i have a fortnight tax DEDUCTION table 2010 on paper. It has all the different amount I must deduct salaries per fortnight.
Its literally hundreds of amounts with different salaries.
So how do i insert all that amounts into my spreadsheet so that when i enter the employee hours it calculates and deducts automatically.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
Regards
Sherman

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
The first thing you would need to do is to put all the amounts into your spreadsheet - if you only have paper then scanning and doing an OCR might be the only way but have a word with your local tax office as they will probably provide it in digital format to insert directly and provide updates too.
Once in there, you should be able to use a statement to point to the sheet with the tax amounts and calculate the final amounts automatically using vlookup.

H&H,

It's difficult to give you an example as I don't know what your data looks like - it might be a good idea if you can show us some of this, including the tax lookups - just copy and paste it into your response, the board will have a better idea what formulas to use. Make sure you don't include any personal information.
