    ctrl-shift-enter problem transpose

I'm trying to create a transpose function. I create the =transpose(array) per several how to's, but when I hit the ctrl-shift-enter to array the function a symbol similar to a period shows up at the end of the function and I get a formula error message. So it looks something like "=transpose(array)." Looks to me like the ctrl-shift-enter shortcut as been replaced with something else. Any ideas?

What's the exact formula you are trying?

You need to apply the formula to a range of cells to reflect the range to be transposed, i.e. if you use =TRANSPOSE(A1:A10) then this needs to be entered in a range 1 row x 10 columns.

    The exact formula is:

    =TRANSPOSE(E268:N268)

The range isn't the issue. I ported the file to my laptop and got the transpose to work per instruction. The problem is specific to the computer. Again, it adds a character after ctrl-shift-enter is pressed.

    Are you using a Mac?

If you are then, instead of CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you should hold down the "Daisy" key [whatever that is, Command?] and press ENTER
