Can I extract hyperlinks from images?

    Hi,
I have copied and pasted a big table to excel. All the images have links and I need to extract that URL and post on it's own cell.
I have tried some hyperlink extracting code but I realized the images are not necessarily in a cell.

Is there a way to do this?

and by the way, is the a way to make the images show? I know they are there but they don't show.

    I appreciate your help.

    Thanks

    Hello skuba,

I would help to see your workbook. The macro code below should get you going in the right direction. The macro copies the URL (hyperlink) from each Picture on the active sheet to to column "A" starting with row 1.

    THank you.
But I did get an error on this line

    Cells(NextRow, "A") = Shp.Hyperlink.Address
Please let me know if I should fix it.
    Thanks

    Hello Skuba,

You don't say what the error is. I am guessing the active worksheet doesn't have any pictures on it or maybe the picture has no HyperLink. I will assume the former first. Change the worksheet name in red to the name of the worksheet that has the pictures on it. Delete the old macro and save the new macro after you have made the change.

Re: Can I extract hyperlinks from images?

This macro worked really well, except that for some reason it seems to have pasted some of the urls multiple times on consecutive rows. I'm trying to ensure that the url matches up with the document titles in row c.

    help?

    Hi Leith,

Am super thick with Macros - have exactly the same question - just do not know where to go with the macro code?

    Kind regards,
    Lorna
