how can i protect a macro enabled file with a password so that unless you enter the password no one can open that file...i have tried "save as" option and in the general tools i entered the password...but now the problem is when i open the password protected file...macros stop working...every time it says to enable the macro in security settings...i have already enabled them but it still doesn't work...

help please

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Using the password option in Save As should have no effect on your macro's working. What version of Excel are you using?

Are you saving it as an "xlsm - Excel 2007 XML Macro-Enabled Workbook"?

Please avoid using of duplicate theme as it is against the rule #21 of this Board.

Does the links kindly given by Collin yesterday in your duplicate thread help?

Try to remove the macro protection, then save workbook, close it, reopen again and check if your macro still works.

Have you applied the recommended PassWord.reg file ?

Try temporally stopping your antivirus software and analyze the difference.

Try SP2
