Hi Guys

Is there any macro that can be used to convert data which have been converted from PDF to Excel. Currently I'm using a traditional way by pressing F2 and enter to convert the data to excel format. It's tedious ( since the data range is quite big) and crammed my finger . Can anyone help pretty pls..??

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
try
enter 1 in an empty cell
copy this cell
select the data to be converted
paste special multiply

That's a nice trick - would work for numeric data i presume, does it work with formulas? Would add a =(XXXX)*1 to everything I presume?

Another one is to use find and replace, finding the equals signs and replacing them with new equals signs.

-------------------
Find:
=

Replace with:
=

See my post above too for another try. If it still doesn't work,

convert the data to excel format.

What is this data like and how is it being converted? (Sample before and after, maybe?)

have you tried
select one column at a time
data-text to column-delimited / select space / format general if it shows morem than one column to be transfered check the unwanted column as to not be imported

Hi Jack

Sorry..just now I did it wrongly. Anyway it's work ;) but it just on the column that doesn't have any data , it will turn out to be 0. Is there anyway to fix that ??

as you can tell by the different methods people are suggesting, this is a common problem and is not always solved by the same method

another method is to goto an empty column
=value(trim(a1))

you can also check
=len(A1) before and after F2-enter
and =len(trim(A1))

I have had to look at
=code(mid(a1,1))
=code mid(A1,2))
etc
until I find a non numeric code and then use replace that with null
