"Deactivate" cells

I think deactivate is the wrong word....

In a worksheet, when one scrolls down, one can normally only scroll to the last "active" cell in the worksheet i.e. a cell with some content in it.

I have a worksheet where the scroll bar is going all the way down to the bottom row of the worksheet, but the actual data in the worksheet only goes up to about row 200. This makes it very difficult to use the scroll bar to navigate around these 200 rows.

Is there a way that I can "deactivate" the cells below my data, so that the scroll bar only goes from row 1 to row 200?

I hope I've explained this clearly?!

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Hiding the rows below your data might be a solution. Select all the rows after your data and rightclick Hide.

This can happen if you have formatted the cells/they used to contain data, so the best way I find is to select all rows below you last row of data and go Edit>Delete (delete the entire rows) and then as Stefan says, save, close and reopen the workbook - this should reset the USedRange and also your scrollbars.
