I'm in a workbook currently and some of my toolbar functions, namely; Trace Precedent/ Dependent, Drawing & Auto Filter are 'greyed' out and not responding. I noticed this was the case after I couldn't produce a drop down list in the same workbook. If I 'move & copy' the workbook the functions on the copied workbook are then active. All other excel workbooks are fine.

Anyone know what could be causing this issue?

Would appreciate any help.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
No it's not. I have since created a copy and the copy is fine so I can carry on with my work. I'm still a wee bit baffled though as I haven't been faced with this problem before.

You can try this....

With the workbook that is causing the problems

Go to Tools | Options | View tab

In the Objects section change the setting from Hide all to Show all.

Hope that helps
