Hello,

Is there a ready shortcut to set the cell format to "Number" with 0 decimal places (i.e. integer) and a 1000 separator?
I assumed it was in a common use but I couldn't find a pre-defined format for that. Basically I just need to be able to put a button for the #,##0 format on the ribbon or the quick access toolbar.
Thanks.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
How about Cell Style "Comma [0]"? ( ribbon Home/Styles/Cell Styles )

Or clicking the Comma button, and clicking Decrease Decimals twice? ( ribbon Home/Number )

Thanks for the reply.

The problem is that is gets me to "Accounting" format and not "Number" format.
When the cell has 0 (zero) I see a hyphen (-) instead of the digit 0.

If you go into Cell Styles and right click Comma, you can modify the style to be Number instead of Accounting. I'm not sure about how persistent the change is ... haven't done many experiments with Style in Excel 2007. I used to put my Style mods into my Personal workbook, and merge style when necessary, in previous versions of Excel.

Once Comma style is altered, you can click on the Comma button to apply that style.
