I'm trying to create a macro to save multiple sheets of data as separate text files but i cannot have the .txt file extension. Any ideas?

If you save something as a certain file type, the file has that type's extension (be it xls, txt, doc, etc) whether the extensions are displayed on screen or not.
Why do you not want the extension?

im have around 700 files that will be used for a webpage but i cannot have the .txt or the links to those files will not work
