Hi!

I want to create a graph of weight loss that can be tracked based on progress. It would be a line graph that would automatically change as you entered your weight for each date. I found a graph online that did this but I believe he has a weight cap or range because anything less than 165 would not show up on the chart. I can send or attach the graph if neccesary.

I also wanted a second series or line that would show the increase and decrease of calorie intake.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
OK so create your own chart.

This isn't particularly difficult, post back if you are having problems with any specific part.

I am not very good at excel so its not so simple for me. When creating the chart the way 'Help' explains it to me or through the chart wizard. It doesn't turn out the way I described above. I want the date on the x-axis and weight on the y axis. When selecting the range of cells A1:C25, it does not include the weight column I specified. Also, because I only have a little data, the chart also chooses its own data to display. For instance, I only have 2 dates so far so the chart chose a series of random dates for me. And when I change the dates or add dates, they do not change on the chart. The x-axis shows numbers 1-18 instead of the date.

I know Im doing something wrong but have no idea what it is.

Thanks for your help.

There is a help function in Excel that explains what the chart options do.

Why don't you put the dates in right now, then update the weights as you get them?

By right-clicking on your chart and choosing source data, you can choose to display your results by row or by column, which would help with your axis problem.
