Charts on a worksheet. Keeping the plot area size constant

I have a chart that I'm using that has data that has ranges of values that can vary drastically. Originally I had the chart on it's own sheet and I had no issues. Now I have a need to copy that same chart onto a worksheet. The problem that I encountered after copying the chart to a new worksheet is the plot area can change in physical size and over run a label I have underneath the chart title and the legend below. How do I go about keeping the X and Y scales on auto but keep the plot area fixed in size when a chart is on a worksheet?

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Hi,

Can you be a little more specific as to what you are trying to do?

While a chart is an object within a worksheet the plot area should not alter I don't think. Switching it between a worksheet object and a chart sheet may alter things but are you just doing this once or repeating the process for some reason?

Dom,

Thanks for your response. I had originally thought the plot area was changing due to varying the data the chart was displaying. What I eventually realized was the change in the plot area size didn't occur until I did a print preview or an actual print of the worksheet. I'm a little confused by it all, but I'm using the camera from the tool bar to take a picture of the chart and toggling the picture of the chart on and off on another sheet by pressing a button (when the chart changes, the picture automatically changes) (I wanted to have a layered effect and use less space). For some reason if I have the picture generated by the camera tool bar button as a part of my workbook, the chart the picture came from is altered (plot area size expands to its max size), but if I cut the picture created by the camera tool the original chart will not be altered when I print or use print preview. Can't say that I understand why, but atleast I have an understanding of what is occurring.

Thanks
