Create a Skew bell curve chart

    Hi All,

With data points in A2:A13, is it possible to draw a bell curve which would depict the Skewness of the data whether negatively/positively skewed?

You mean fit the data to a skew-normal distribution?

EDIT: That's not much data ...

    Yes, exactly

Usually the data set would be about 70 data points so A2:A71...

Post some data. On the way out -- I'll have to get back to this later.

    70 points is better ...

    Jeff,

Bearing in mind that I am no statistician (or mathematician), your data looks a whole lot more linear than normal. See the attached numerical CDF. It should be S-shaped for any kind of normal distribution.

I should have said the CDF looks linear, which means the distribution is way closer to uniform than normal.

Ok, this is good, thanks shg....

When I change the UCL/LCL to +2, then all the data is in control which means all the data is falling within 34% on either side of the mean.
