    Training matrix traffic lights conditional formatting

    I'm trying to design a training matrix with colour co-ordination.

    For example:
    Epilepsy Training

    Expires: 3 years

    So i've got:
    =B6<=TODAY()-1095
    and the cells turn red if date goes beyond 1095 days.

    But what i also wanted to do was:
    cells turn orange if theres only 1065 days left (1 month)
    cells turn yellow if theres only 1005 days left (3 months)

    But everytime i use the same formula as i did for the Red the new colour just supercedes that one.

    Please can someone help?

    I bet you are editing the rule rather than adding a new one.

    if you want the whole row to turn red. Select the whole row and use the formula

    Hi,
    Thank you. I was actually just adding the same formula and just minusing the number of days so red for -1095 and -1065 for orange and -1005 for yellow. No i understand you need to use AND's.

    I have inputted your formulas but it doesnt seem to work the way i would like it. For example:

    Person A
    Trained: 01/08/2011
    their cell shows as Yellow.

    But it should show yellow on 01/05/2014
    And then orange on 01/07/2014

    Person B
    Trained 10/05/2010
    Their cell shows as orange. But they are actually 201 days overdue so it should be volcanic red!

    Please can you kindly help me again?

    Thanks. Gave it a bash but the problem still remains.Attachment 280577

    To surmise:
    Not trained or trained beyond 3 years (1095 days) Red
    Trained 1065 days ago but not 1095 days Orange
    Trained 1005 days ago but not 1065 Yellow

    thank you so much for all your help.

    After lots of messing around yesterday i think i've cracked it, please let me know what you think:

    =TODAY()-B6>1095 (RED)
    =AND(TODAY()-B6>30,$B6<TODAY()-1065) (ORANGE)
    =AND(TODAY()-B6>90,$B6<TODAY()-1005) (YELLOW)

    Thanks!
