Excel only printing one cell per page; AFTER clearing print area

    Hello,

I'm having trouble printing a document. It will only print one cell per page. I was able to print it fine to a letter document, but after realizing it was too small to read, I switched to legal. Now neither legal nor letter will print correctly. It prints one cell per page.

I have cleared the print area; did not work. I then defined the range I wanted; did not work. When clearing the print area the "print preview" looks fine until after I print, then it goes back to showing only 1 cell. I have set my margins to regular and small and scaled various, all to no avail.

The printer is currently held up for the next few hours, so I can't trial and error (and I'd rather not waste more toner and paper), but the only thing I can think of is that I didn't hit "save" after clearing the print area?

    Thank you.

Interested to know if you have found an answer to this problem.
I am experiencing this problem myself.

I am experiencing the same problem. I have a simple file 45R X 9C. Yesterday I printed the file on a single landscape page (it was 45R X 8C at that time). Today, I added additional info in a ninth column and tried to print it. But, now it wants to print 405 pages (one per cell) and the pages don't actually print the cell contents, they print a single vertical line (of varying length) on each page. I tried copying the data into a new worksheet in the file, but it still wanted to print as one cell per page. So, I tried copying the data into a new file and still got one cell per page. So I tried again copying into a new file, pasting special column widths and pasting special values. When I tried print preview it only showed the upper left (R1C1) cell and indicated that that cell was the entire print. I then set the print area to the entire 45R X 9C area, but still only got the R1C1 cell. I remember having this same one-cell-per-page problem with an earlier version of Excel several years ago, but I don't remember if or how I resolved it. I seem to remember recreating the spreadsheet. That's probably what I will do with this one.
