    Worksheet Name Max Length

In old versions of Excel, the maximum Worksheet Name length is 31 characters (inc. blanks). Does this change in any later version of Excel? I am using a software package which renames Worksheets to a Title which can be any length (usually max 70 characters).

    Hi,
I don't know which version of XL you are using, but there is in easy way to find out :
Open a workbook, double click a tab and delete the existing titel and start typing anything.
When it stops, you will have your answer
    (XL2003 returned 31 characters)

    Cheers
