This very basic excel file (no macros, no formulas) is saved on a network drive and is Shared.
It seems every other day or so, a message pops up when trying to open it that says, "The file is locked. To save changes to the file, you can either close the file before making any changes and open it again, use the Save As command to save the file with another name, or turn off Shared Workbooks and save the file."

The first option doesn't work, the second option works, but is a pain to do it every day, and when doing the third option, a message pops up that says, "Errors were detected while saving 'File Name'. Microsoft Office Excel may be able to save the file by removing or repairing some features. To make the repairs in a new file, click Continue."

When clicking Continue, it saves the file as a new name, but then comes up with the message, "No errors were detected in 'New File Name'. No repairs were necessary."

...then, when opening the New File...it starts all over with the first message so we have to save it as a new file name then delete the old file, then change the name back to what the old one was......

.....Any ideas out there??? :)

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
