Filter pivot table using an "Or" condition

    Hi,

I have a pivot table in which I have several filter options defined. The problem is that the filtering is done using "AND" conditions. I want to be able to filter where filter A value exists OR filter B value exists OR filter C value exists.

Is this possible without using the Advanced filter functionality?

    Thanks,
    Jason

you could add another column to the data with an IF formula to say if the line of data passes the filter.

That way you can have a "IF(OR(" formula. Then in the Pivot Table you only have to filter on the TRUE or FALSE.

Hope this makes sense. If not post an example.

    Cheers

    Jim

Thanks, that is a good idea but unfortunately I am dealing with numerous columns in which to filter. The combination of If/Or functions could get out of hand.

Was hoping there was some built in functionality within the pivot tables themselves that would lend itself to this type of analysis.
