Hi,
I don't think it's any more than the 64 levels you get in 2007. Although if you ever start getting anywhere near that level I'd say you're heading for trouble. Almost certainly there will be a better way of achieving your goal.

Hi Richard
Thanks for your reply as it has been most helpful. You have got me wondering though. I use spreadsheets that span over 20,000 rows and hundreds of columns and I have formulas that use the absolute maximum number of IF functions and to be honest they could use more. I keep being told that this is bad practice but in spreadsheets this size, I have found that using VLOOKUP or INDEX and MATCH solutions to be far too intensive on my computer's resources. Even worse it just kills the spreadsheet and locks up my computer. Do you know of an easier way because I would love to hear it.

Hi
I am trying to put more than 9 nesting with IF but in Excel 2010, it is not accepting. Can you please tell me is there any ways to put more than 9 nesting in single cell.

The answer is Yes. I believe 64 levels but if you find you're starting to use more than eight or nine then almost certainly there will be a better way.
