Hi there. I know it sound like a really simple thing but its really stumped me.

Instead of the y axis being on the left hand side, i wish for it to cut at 0,0. I have positive and negative values and I need it to be in the centre instead of on the left.

I have tried formatting both the axis and it would appear that the x axis already cuts the y axis in the right posistion so i need to format the x axis to make the y axis cut it at 0,0. I have already tried typing in 0 instead of 1 and it keeps saying it need to be number more than or equal to 1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nicole

If it's an XY (Scatter) chart, right click the x axis and choose Format axis. On the Scale tab enter a zero for Value (Y) axis crosses at and click OK.

Thanks for the quick reply. However as i said before it is not letting me put int the value 0, it says it has to be 1 or above.

To confirm we are looking at the same thing I have gone format x axis > scale > Value (y) axis crosses at category number : 1

Thanks again, Nicole

It seems you have a Line Chart rather than an XY (Scatter) chart. In that case the x axis contains categories, not values. If you have 3 categories, -1, 0 and 1, enter 2 against Value (Y) axis crosses at category number and uncheck Value(Y) axis crosses between categories.
