Question Import data from the web

I'm trying to get real-time updates of a golf leaderboard, and I tried using a web query, but it didn't show the golfers' info in Excel. I have Office 2000 (yeah I know it's ancient). Can someone please help me? Here is the web address:

    http://www.pgatour.com/r/leaderboard/

    Thanks in advance!

Re: Import data from the web

I tried this two different ways and I think that the problem is the way the web page is coded.

I am not a web developer so I am not sure exactly how they built it, but the source code shows that the leaderboard data is not included in the HTML generated for the page.

My take is that Excel is not sophisticated enough to pull data down that is not displayed as HTML tables.

Thanks 6String. That's what I noticed too, and I have no clue if there's a way around it.

Would this work? I just used http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/leaderboard seemed to be the same thing.

    This one also works http://msn.foxsports.com/golf/leaderboard
