    Recover corrupted file

    Hi folks,

I have attached a file which throws this error when someone tries to open it "Excel cannot open the file 'a.xlsx' because the file format or file extension is not valid. Verify that the file has not been corurpted and that the file extension matches the format of the file." I will appreciate if any one can get me data from this file or suggest some tools to recover this file. Thanks in advance.

    File Cure

Generally while accessing the files we get these types of errors due to some unfavorable causes. But now with the help of File Cure software you can easily repairs all the corrupted files and also recovers any lost or damaged files.

I always use this software when I need to repairs the corrupted files. So you just try it and access all the corrupted files without any problems.

    Re: Recover corrupted file

If this product is the same as Pareto FleCure, I recommend anyone read the reviews at http://download.cnet.com/FileCure/30...-75000187.html before downloading this product. The consensus seems to be it's worse than awful.

If it's a different product, there are no independent reviews anywhere, and there is no information about the company on the website. I would stay a mile away from this.

    Re: Recover corrupted file

i looked at it and all it seems to do is
This software identifies the file type of troublesome files
well since we know this is xlsx what would be the point?
maybe if you had an odd adf2345dy.tmp and wanted to find out its original file type, even then the reviews seem to point out it's lack of usefulness
