Is there a formula i can use to return the work week for a date - starting at week 1 for the first week of january and so on?

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Without the ATP and depending on exactly waht you want, this formula gives the equivalent of WEEKNUM(A1,2):

=INT((A1 - DATE(YEAR(A1),1,1)-WEEKDAY(A1,2))/7)+2
