How to Make the data from the pivot table ( Reverse Pivot )

Dear Experts,

With a data i have made a pivot table and the pivot is copied and paste special and values. It is in a MIS format. If i want to have the original format ie. from which i have made this pivot table how can we do this.

ie. Reverse pivot table.

I have opened an email id and a test file is uploaded in the email itself

www.rediffmail.com

user id - exceltestfile
password - testfile

Can anybody help me on this.

I dont know how to copy a file in this forum so opened an external email id.

i want exactly the same of the original data from which the pivot table is made. No consolidation of rows .

Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Sort by date Sort by votes
Double clicking on any cell in the data area of a pivot will create a new sheet showing the source data that has been consolidated into that cell.

If you double click on the Grand Total / Grand Total cell (B32 in your example) then a new sheet is created showing the entire source for the pivot - exactly as per your example, although the orders are slightly different.

There's no way that you'll be able to reverse this easily if you've copied and pasted special.

By doing that you've lost all the functionality of the pivot table.

Including the ability to do what Bawbagg (nice name :) ) suggests.

Can I ask why you are doing this in the first place?

Why make a pivot table, copy paste special values and then reverse the process?

Don't you have the raw data already?
