I want to do a simple chart - the Y axis will be percent (from 0 to 100) and the X axis will be year (02, 03, 04). I want to use a line chart with markers displayed at each data value - the data values will be 34 (or 25%) for 02, 131 (or 96%) for 03, and 137 (or 100%) for 04. I can get it to plot the percentages nicely, but I can't figure out how to get it to put the actual quantities as data labels. Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Hi,

As well as Paddy's suggestion (I'm using XP so I can't test it :( )

You could add a third column to your data.
This would contain the actual value of the percentage i.e. 34, 131 etc
Add this series to your chart.

Right click>Format Data Series on the line plotting the actual values
Goto>Axis change to Secondary
OK

Right Click>Format Axis on the lables (now on the Right of the graph)

If your Percentage scale is 0 Minimum 1 Maxiumum
Choose 0 as minimum 137 as Maximum on the scale.

Adjust to fit i.e if your % is 0 and 1.2 change data to 0 and 165

This will mirror your Percentages, you can now add lables to your plot line from this data.

Hope this helps

PaddyD and Ian Mac: Thanks very much for your help. I've been away from my desk all day, so I'll try both suggestions on Monday. It's nice to know that there are still people out there who'll give someone else a hand. Many thanks to you both. v/r agk

Appspro- Chart Label Different Format for Series

Just wanted to say a big "Thank you," for posting the information about the AppsPro Utility. I had been trying to do exactly the same thing, i.e. show a series with one format of data (currency) and also show what percentage that series represented. The AppsPro utility makes it a snap!
