Instead of the y axis being on the left hand side, i wish for it to cut at 0,0. I have positive and negative values and I need it to be in the centre instead of on the left.
I have tried formatting both the axis and it would appear that the x axis already cuts the y axis in the right posistion so i need to format the x axis to make the y axis cut it at 0,0. I have already tried typing in 0 instead of 1 and it keeps saying it need to be number more than or equal to 1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have 3 variables that I'm charting. I have one on the primary axis and it's values are in the billions. I have one on the secondary axis and it's a percentage. I need to display a 3rd who's value is in the millions. If I put it on the primary axis, you cannot see modest changes.
Is there a tricky way to get all three on one graph? I know I could split on two graphs, so that's my backup plan.
Thanks,
Dave
I was thinking of trying a nested if/and statement but I haven't quite figured out how to do it. Basically I want to identify the two values where it switches from positive to negative and also indentify the values where it goes negative to positive, I can then fit a straight line between them to find a better approximation of the intercept (though it might not be necessary). Preferably I'd like it all one function as I'm not doing it in VBA (I might do later though, we'll see).
Can anyone suggest how I'd find these value or the x-intercept. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We will be building 8 "widgets" a day.
We will work 10 hours a day.
There is a 20 minute break at 9:20 am.
Production shuts down for lunch 30 minutes for lunch at 12:30.
Production starts at 6:00 am.
Here is what I can do.
Production cycle time = (10*60)-30/8 or 71.25 minutes
If we start at 6:00 am, the first scheduled cycle completion time = TIME(6,0,0+71.25/1440)
My problem is when I am trying to use a logical "IF' statement to account for the 20 minute break or lunch and still calculate the end of each cycle time through the day I receive a number of error messages.
This is the formula I am trying to make work. I have the cell the formula is in, formatted with a "mm,ss" format.
=(IF(D4+G1/1440>9:20,(D4+G1)/24,(D4+G1+15)/1440))
I have included an attachment to help (a picture is worth a thousand words).
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I have bought a number of books in an attempt to figure this out, and I am still stumped
TIA
Coffee hasn't hit my brain yet this morning and I cant figure this one out.
I have a list of names that are in the following format:
LastName Suffix, FirstName MI
The middle initial is not always present, neither is the suffix. For simplicity purposes, we will assume the suffix can ONLY be "Jr."
Here is some sample data:
Brown Jr., Wayne
Fowler, Michael
Parker, David A
Winstead Jr., Johnny N
I want the output to be the following:
Brown, Wayne
Fowler, Michael
Parker, David
Winstead, Johnny
Thanks in advance for the help!
PS (if i can get a formula that at least gets rid of the middle initial at the end (if it exists), then that would be a HUGE step in the right direction, as the Jr. only occurs on maybe 3% of my data. The middle initial is in about 80% of the data.
I want to calculate the total time worked such that i have the hours worked. So if i worked 7 hours and 30min then the total time would be 7.5hrs. But i am not sure how to take into account the lunch break time (see enclosed sheet).
anyone have any ideas?

I need to find cells with text that have more than one space between the first and last names; and cells with text that have only one space between the first and last names.
I am fairly new to excel. I can find the space after the first word but cannot tell it to find ones that say have a space then another string of text.
Thank you for your help!
I'm using the formula below but keep getting #VALUE results
B1: =LEFT(A1,FIND(",",A1,1))
I know it's not that hard but can't figure it out.
thanks for the help

I want to know how to copy part of a cell and paste it into a new cell.
Example:
a1= 8hAs7c
portion needed: 7c
I used this formula:
=RIGHT(A1,2)
This returns 7c like I want.
However in the next cell I want to source the middle two (As)
And in another cell I want the first two (8h)
How do I go about this?

When I create a bar chart, the bars are horizontal. I want the chart bars to be vertical. It tried to rotate the chart so that it is vertical, but the "rotate" options are greyed out.

I want to calculate the late and under time,
Office start at 9:am w/30 mins Grace period,
The break time is one hour only, please include over breaktime in calculation.
End of office hours 6:00 pm, strickly no over time
It is not a border line.
It is not a page break.
If I delete the rows it appears on it remains visible.
It is not an object floating on top of the spreadsheet.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
include/exclude one of the series to see how the chart changes, all the
colors change and we have to spend time re-identifying which series is
which, using the legend to check the colors.
Is there a way to "lock" the colors, so that the bars stay the same colors
regardless of whether other bars are included/excluded?
Thanks!

Example: Existing data 1000UG01
Needs to be 1000UG.01
Existing cells are all the same length and the "." needs to be inserted in the same place.
Thanks in advance for any help.
(The reason I need to do this is for importing into Access, the database treats empty cells as NULL which is what I want. Blank (but not empty) cells screw the import process up.)
where each cell/column begins and ends. However there are a few cells where
the break with the next cell does not show the line.
I have highlighed the cell in question, gone to format/cell/borders and
everything looks fine. Black color + format border shows square with all
sides of square showing.
Any thoughts on how to fix these few random cells.
Thanks
